The designs featured on the Winter Bracelet are interpreted from organic patterns, the ocean and stars. With hand-fired vitreous enamel adornments, the bracelet is double-sided providing unique patterning on both sides.
Technique
Vitreous enamels are a form of soft glass with a melting temperature between 700 and 800°c, coloured using different minerals and elements - cobalt is used to create a rich blue colour. The design has been created by sifting vitreous enamel glass powder over hand-made stencils and fired multiple times in a kiln at around 800°C. Each mosaic is encased in a hand-made open-back sterling silver bezel setting so that a design can be seen on both sides. Hand-made sterling silver connecting rings and toggle fastening are all soldered for durability. The bracelet is hand-polished.
