Vision

The Dancing Stars Ring reflects a fragment of the Basilica plasterwork in Cordoba, designed in the 6th century. Each unique Sirocco ring is a dedication to the same craftsmanship and artistic sophistication that is characteristic of Moorish art. Using black vitreous enamel to inlay the carved pattern, each ring is unique in its formation.

Technique

The lost wax casting technique is one of the oldest known metal-forming techniques, dating back 6,000 years - it is still widely used for producing jewellery. The technique involves building a mold around a wax model; after the mold is set, the wax is melted out and forms a cavity where the sterling silver flows in. Vitreous enamel is then inlaid into the sterling silver ring and fired in the kiln multiple times.  The ring is hand polished and hallmarked.
