Hardcover

Language: Castilian
Tina Modotti’s life and artistic career were framed by historical events and her constant double commitment: artist-photographer and revolutionary-anti-fascist militant.
Almost all of Modotti’s photographic work was produced between 1923 - 1930 in Mexico. Modotti evolved from an interest in abstract forms to a gaze centered on the human form and denouncing inequality and injustice. This book, Tina Modotti’s most extensive to date, is the result of extensive research. Published on the occassion of her exhibition at Fundación MAPFRE, the artist’s monograph combines her documentary, natural and avant-garde perspectives, founding a unique insight into Latin America through the 20th Century.
