Featuring a fluorite gemstone, the Sunrise Jewel Earrings interpret the rhythmic design of the hand fan as seen in Málaga.
Technique
Vitreous enamel is a glass-like compound coloured using different minerals and elements: gold is used in reds and pinks. The design has been created by sifting enamel glass powder over hand-made stencils and fired multiple times in a kiln at around 800°C. Hand-made sterling silver rings are used to connect the individual elements, the rings are soldered. Hand-made sterling silver earring wires are soldered onto the sunshine design. The earrings are cleaned free of oxides caused by the soldering process and finally polished. A fluorite gemstone bead is securely attached using sterling silver wire.
