Vision

This bracelet is an appreciation of summer. The unique mosaics symbolise the new flowers, colours, sun and stars we experience through summer evenings. 


Technique

Each mosaic is encased in a hand-made open back sterling silver bezel setting so that a design can be seen on both sides. Vitreous enamels are a form of soft glass with a melting temperature between 700 and 800°c, coloured using different minerals and elements eg cobalt is used to create a rich blue colour.  The design has been created by sifting vitreous enamel glass powder over hand-made stencils and fired multiple times in a kiln at around 800°C. Hand-made sterling silver connecting rings and toggle fastening are all soldered for durability. The bracelet is finally hand-polished.
