Vision
The design of the Sunrise Jewel Earrings interprets the rhythmic design of the hand fan as seen in Málaga streets. Connected by sterling silver connecting rings and hooks.
Technique
Vitreous enamel is a glass-like compound coloured using different minerals and elements: eg gold is used in reds and pinks. The design has been created by sifting enamel glass powder over hand-made stencils and fired multiple times in a kiln at around 800°C. Hand-made sterling silver rings are used to connect the individual elements, the rings are soldered. Hand-made sterling silver earring wires are soldered onto the fan. The earrings are cleaned free of oxides caused by the soldering process and finally polished.
