James John Midwinter: Penswith #1
Penwith #01 which was shown in the group exhibition Far From Here [6 - 8 Sept. 2024] in Cornwall.
The image has been exposed on washi paper hand coated with silver gelatin emulsion. The surface of the works are made up of myriad brushstrokes, imperfections and subtle textures.
“Having moved to Penwith from the north coast only recently, the pieces I’m showing are of my first few weeks spent in my new home. Small moments that express how it feels to be in this enchanting part of Cornwall.”
