Embodying the radiant essence of the sun and floral motifs, the Mosaic Earrings playfully celebrate the divine beauty of nature. Referencing the intricate Moorish architecture of Andalusia, these earrings evoke a sense of timeless grace and artistic heritage.
Technique
Vitreous enamel is a glass-like compound coloured using different minerals and elements: gold is used in pinks. The design has been created using a hand-made stencil and enamelled glass powder and fired multiple times in a kiln at around 800°C. The mosaics are encased in a hand-made sterling silver open back bezel so that a design is visible on both the front of the earring and on the back. The earrings are finished with a hand-made sterling silver earring hook, cleaned free of oxides caused by the soldering process and finally polished.
